About Cutting Edge
Miss Stacie began her dance career at the age of 3, studying gymnastics and dance in her hometown of Beavercreek, Ohio. She began competing at age 7, and won numerous awards and titles. Stacie added modeling to her studies at age 9, competing in and winning many regional pageants.
Because she was such an advanced student, Stacie was given a teaching position at age 14. She was hired by the South Dayton School of Dance, under the direction of Elizabeth Karns. Her duties included instructing classes and choreographing in diverse dance idioms.
After her 5th season teaching for the school, Stacie went out on her own, opening the Centerville Contemporary Dance Studio, at which she was the owner and artistic director from 1991 until 1998. Since 2002, Stacie has been actively teaching in the Powell and Dublin areas.
Stacie has honed her dance and teaching techniques over the years, studying at Steps and Broadway Dance Center in New York City. The stellar list of her instructors and mentors includes such names as Mike Minery, Mia Michaels, Laurie Johnson, Joe Tremaine, Bela Karoli, and many more.
